Rest in Power, Congressman John Lewis

John Lewis was much more than a Congressman from Georgia; he was an American hero and represented the absolute best of what our country has to offer. He may no longer be with us, but his legacy will live on and never be forgotten.

In a time when Americans are out in the streets protesting systemic racism and racial injustice, let’s remember Congressman Lewis’ leadership and massive contributions to the civil rights movement.

There is still so much left to fight for: whether it’s ensuring the right to vote for every citizen of this country, ending police brutality, or fighting against our broken criminal justice system, let’s honor Congressman Lewis’ legacy in our fight towards dismantling systems of oppression. Let’s cause some “good trouble.”
