Statement regarding arson committed at UD’s Chabad Center

The College Democrats at the University of Delaware stand in solidarity with the Jewish community at UD and throughout the state, as the Chabad Center right across from campus was intentionally set ablaze on Tuesday night.

Acts like this, rooted in bigotry, can manifest themselves everywhere, and we need to stay vigilant and united against hate. Anti-Semitic hate crimes have been skyrocketing in the United States for the past few years, and this incident only proved that a place so many Blue Hens call “home” is not immune from these disgusting acts.
